Much like our football counterparts, Portobello Camogie club was established to give culchies a GAA safe-haven in the big schmoke! From the early years, it's harnessed the talents of players from all ends of the country and now also proudly opens it's doors to the Dubs!
Why join our team?
We literally cater for all levels (skill and age!!), from beginners to county players and have a long tradition of every player being made to feel welcome in the club, on and off the pitch. Whether you've never played before, or want to pick up the hurley you last touched when you were 11, there's a place for you in Porto.
Training
Training is Tuesday and Thursday night's in the Phoenix Park (the pitch behind the Cricket Club - same entrance!) at 7 o'clock.
Matches
We play in the Dublin Senior 3 grade in League and Championship and we're fairly competitive in both. We've lost two county finals in the last three year's, but we're confident we're getting closer to winning some silverware before we all retire! Our games are usually Thursday night's - home games are in the Phoenix Park, our away games vary, with the other teams in our grade based on the North and Southside.
